Does anyone know the average salary for a legal assistant/secretary? The job is in Providence, RI. I have my bachelor’s degree in English, as well. Just wanted to know what to expect. Thanks!

    When I was a legal secretary I started at entry level and I made $30,000 my first year. After the first year I got a raise and made $34,000. I made more than other new secretaries because of my degree, and your degree should get you more money as well. I only had an associates. You have a bachelors. Do you have any office experience? That might help you too (if you do). I think you could expect to hire in at atleast $30-32k.

    Salary depends on experience, but you should earn at least $15-20/hr (excluding benefits).
