I’m going to graduate next year with a Political science degree. I have no idea what to do in life though?
itsallaboutobama asked:
I majored in political science because i loved studying politics, government and so on. However, I’m not sure what I want to do for work. I’ve been a Loan Officer Assistant for 2.5 years and I was a Legal Assistant for a year…and I already know that I don’t want to be a lawyer!
Does anyone know what careers I can choose? Teaching perhaps? Let me know
Also I dont’ think law school would accept me because I got too many Ws at the junior college cause i was 17-19 years old and I was facing economic and personal hardships + i was not ready for college.

I got a political science/theology degree and I ended up going into IT work.
I would say just find something you like and that you are good at. Or at least something that you can market yourself with. I’m not a huge fan of IT stuff, but if you have the ability to pick it up, its pays really well which is a great thing right after college.
You may look into doing Americorps volunteering, or something else like it also. That will give you the option to do something that actually matters.
The political science degree was a waste of your time and resources. The same goes for gender and ethnic studies, art, and education degrees. Now you should go back to school and learn something useful. Try something in engineering, medicine, science, or technology. That way you can use what you learn actually to make a living. -yk
