College for Legal Secretary Position?
dee5543 asked:
Hi,
I am seriously considering taking a course at a local college to become a legal secretary. However, I don’t have a college degree. Will the certificate be enough? I’m 26 and I don’t have the time or money to go to college right now, so I am trying to find a field that will eventually pay big bucks if I stick with it. I’ve worked in a law office as a office assistant and I loved it. Should I go for it?

If you take a few computer classes and list them on your resume sometimes that is enough. Colleges like to try and trick you into taking a bunch of classes that you don’t need and buying a bunch of books they wont buy back. I wasted lost of money on stupid irrelevant classes. Some classes, combined with the experience you already have may have surprising results. I got a pretty good office job with just a few computer classes and a nicely done resume. Good luck.
